LocalAlert is a location-aware electronic newsletter solution designed specifically to meet the needs of local authorities in Great Britain.

Send details of planning applications, consultations, jobs, procurements, events, crime and much more direct to citizens' email accounts or mobile phones. LocalAlert integrates with LLPG/NLPG to allow citizens to control not only what type of information to receive but also to restrict notifications to within a given radius of their home(s).

Automatically generate your newsletters

Our easy to use integration tool automatically retrieves notifications from your own or partner agencies' databases and sends them to your LocalAlert server through a secure, SOAP based connection. Additionally, our web-based interface allows authorised users to manually add notifications.

Accessibility

Send accessible newsletters. Subscribers may elect to receive newsletters in either HTML, Plain Text or Accessible Text format. Accessible Text newsletters conform to the Text Email Newsletter (TEN) Standard, which is designed to ease navigation of plain text email newsletters by all readers, including people with visual impairments using special access technologies. The TEN standard was developed by E-Access Bulletin, a free email newsletter on access to technology by visually impaired people published by Headstar with RNIB.
